Situated in the heart of the historic center of Naples it's one of the symbols of the ancient mix of cultures that have crossed the city since the Magna Graecia era: the statue of the god Nile. The sculpture is decorated with a Sphinx at its side, it was brought to light close to the ancient city walls that surrounded Neaples during the construction of a new building in the 15th century. For a long time its identity remained almost unknown: the mysterious "Corpo -Body", over the centuries, gave life to many legends, such as that according to which the original head pointed with the gaze towards the hiding place of a wonderful treasure.
